July 5th, we drove from Charleston, SC to Pigeon Forge, TN. Nate and Mommy went swimming in the hotel pool. Nate absolutely loved it!
On July 6th, we decided to take a hike in the Great Smokey Mountains. We went on a hike to see Laurel Falls. This is a one mile hike up the mountain. We stopped several times on the path. At one point, we were being told that there was a bear just up ahead. Thankfully we never saw the bear. Nate and Daddy had a great time splashing in the falls. They fell twice but only Daddy came away with a scraped toe. Both Pete and Nate fell asleep on our way down the mountain. It was a very peaceful trip. Hot and sweaty but fun.
